These terms apply when you use articlesummarizer.com. The service is operated by NOVALEXA TECHNOLOGIES, Nicosia, Cyprus. By using the tool you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use it.

What the service does

articlesummarizer.com generates summaries of documents and web pages using artificial intelligence, and lets you ask follow-up questions about the content you submitted. The tool is provided free of charge. There is no account, no subscription and no paid plan.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• upload content you have no right to use, including material protected by copyright or covered by a confidentiality obligation;
• submit unlawful, abusive or deliberately harmful material, or content that infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt to disrupt the service, bypass its limits, or access it through automated means at a scale that affects other users;
• present a generated summary as a human-authored work where doing so would breach an academic, professional or legal rule that applies to you.

We may limit or refuse access if the service is used in any of these ways.

Copyright and the content you submit

You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to process that content in order to produce your summary and chat responses.

Summarizing publicly available material for personal or non-commercial use may be permitted under fair use or a comparable exception, but this depends on your jurisdiction and on how you use the result. Using summaries commercially without permission from the rights holder can create legal exposure. You are responsible for checking the copyright position of anything you submit.

Accuracy and academic use

Summaries are produced by AI systems and can be incomplete, misleading or wrong. They are a reading aid, not a substitute for the original source. Do not rely on a summary for citation, academic assessment, medical, legal or financial decisions without checking the original document yourself. If your institution restricts the use of AI tools, those rules take precedence over anything this service allows.

Availability

The service is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, that processing limits will stay the same, or that every file format will always work. We may change or withdraw features at any time.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from decisions you make on the basis of a generated summary. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Privacy

How we handle uploaded documents and other data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the service develops. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live.
